MUCA’s collection started more than 25 years ago and includes over 1.200 individual artworks.
Ranging from key artworks by Banksy to fascinating and influential artists like Yayoi Kusama, the collection gives a broad and stunning perspective onto urban and contemporary art.
A selection of the collection called „Icons of Urban Art“ has been on tour through several renowned museums and art spaces in eastern Asia. The exhibition gives an insight into the wide array of media and approaches used by the artists and continues to fascinate visitors no matter where the show is on display.
So far the exhibition had been on display at
Oita Art Museum from July 2023 until October 2023
Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art from October 2023 until January 2024
Mori Arts Center Gallery in Tokyo from March 2024 until June 2024
Chungmu Arts Center in Seoul from October 2024 until March 2025
